I have become an eager and enthusiastic artist and a valued member of Creativity Explored's studio in 2009. I display the same traits in my artwork, with an emphasis on figures and forms from pop culture gathering my inspiration from nature, and people I look up to as role models such as Miley Ray Cyrus, Hayden Panettiere, or Taylor Swift, or even a day at Pt. Reyes National Seashore.
I typically work with traditional drawing media, using a variety of techniques. My work ranges from spare, elegant graphite drawings, to densely collaged mixed media pieces, and vibrant homages to his heroes from the music and film worlds and important things or events in my life. Comics have made up a newly developing facet of my art practice as well.
I am excited by the community of artists I have worked with at Creativity Explored and through my school career, as well as the artictic challenges I'm faced with by my mentors.
