Cox, Patrick Otis - Link to the personal website of Patrick Otis Cox. Born in 1955 in Louisville, Kentucky, United States: In my mid twenties I saw a vision of where I want my work to go. It is an abstract view of how the emotional inside can be seen on the outside with the use of color and technique. That is why I love French Impressionism. They started the modern movement of showing the breath of life through their work. Life is so much more than just what we see. Inside we all have rushing feelings of love, hate, happiness, pain, and so much more. It is the responsibility of artist to put those feelings on canvas. An example of this is how the inside stirring caused by heartbreak can actually make us feel a live and somehow better. Patrick Otis Cox. International Award Winning Painter for 42 years Working in Oil and Acrylic on Canvas. Based in Philadelphia, PA and New York City. Producer of Artists of Beijing Documentary

Crisafulli, Carmen - Link to the Carmen Crisafulli website.

Du Lavy, David - An American, David Du Lavey studied at the School of Fine Arts, Corcoran Museum of Art, Washington, D.C. He has lived in Washington, Barcelona and Cairo. Du Lavey maintains a summer house in Tunisia and an apartment in Paris where he lives and paints. DuLavey's current series, NAKED TRUTHS or LES VERITES NUES, combines his long fascination for abstract or geometric constructions and the human form. The images are meant to provoke and capture the attention while commenting on current human relationships. They are today's images showing our society's obsession with youthful beauty as an antidote to the boredom and routine found in our culture of material abundance. In the West, frontal nudity in art is still a taboo, particularly of the male. Our male dominated societies have long decreed that the hirsute man with his banal genitalia is not an acceptable or appropriate artistic image, in contrast to a general approval of the female nude. DuLavey's paintings endeavor to banalize and satirize this taboo by showing realistically both female and male forms. They are meant to provoke but they do not attempt to invite or seduce the viewer. The paintings show the trend towards egoism, alienation or violence in our society. His figures while superficially attractive reveal their inability to communicate. DuLavey's NAKED TRUTHS include his reactions to political and social correctness, to racism, rampant commercialism and nationalism; they comment on the manner our society copes with new technologies, friendships and intimate relationships, fantasies and frustrations. The compositions show a personal reality - a quasi-mystical quality - with conventional pretense removed.

Susan Kennedy - Link to the personal website of artist Susan Kennedy. Susan Diefenthaler Kennedy is an artist living and working in North Georgia. She specializes in traditional landscapes which evoke a gentle, lyrical feeling; the mountains, lakes, marshes, and shores of her native Georgia, Edisto Island, South Carolina, and rural Pennsylvania are favored subjects. Trees positioned against a dramatic sky are also a favorite and recurring subject, as are crisp afternoon scenes with long blue shadows. Other specialties include still lifes in primary colors, vivid florals and the occasional seascape. Also, Susan is a member of the Miniature Art Society of Florida and paints miniatures in transparent watercolor which combine the fine detail of traditional miniatures with a painterly approach which preserves the spontaneity of classic watercolor. Susan's goal in all of these subjects is to capture the incredibly beautiful design of creation. Susan's work has received local and national awards, most notably in the Rocky Mountain National Watercolor competition; she has sold commissioned watercolor paintings in the Atlanta area and on the internet for many years, both to private and corporate collectors. Her representational style is largely self-taught, stemming from her childhood fascination with painting nature in painstaking detail. Susan's watercolor and acrylic paintings are done on fine quality archival watercolor papers, canvases and boards using paints with the highest permanence rating. They will be bright for generations to come!

Pol Ledent - Oil paintings and Watercolours by Pol Ledent Born on 23 October 1952, Pol is a self-taught painter. I started with a few watercolours in 1990 and began painting with oil in 1995. I generally paint landscapes of my country which is called "Ardennes" in the South of Belgium. People mostly appreciate my paintings for their colours. Francis JACQUES, novembre 2001
