    It is the 12th time.

The 12th time that I made a motif for a award winning company.

The award is the Danish Industry InitiativeAward 2009.

The company is the Fittings Specialist in Fredericia, Denmark.

It was a couple of months ago.

As always I initiate the job by talking to the CEO. His name is Finn Roy, and he thorowly

informed me about products, organisation, etc.

We managed to drink three cups of coffee.

The chemistry between us was right.

Now you must see the robot, Finn Roy said.

    The robot???

First I thought of Gyro Gearloose

  2. Here's one...

From a recent weekend trip by Rail and London Underground, from Norwich (Norfolk, East Anglia), to Highbridge and Burnham in South West England:

For some reason or other, Greater Anglia were not operating a direct service, all the way through from Norwich to London Liverpool Street. (There was a bus link in place but I really don't do those things...) So I went via Cambridge - stop, stop, stop all the way to London.

After boarding a Gteat Western Railways train at London Padinhton, the usual dash down the Bristol Main Line came to an unceremonious end at Reading. The train departed from the Bristol Main Line, whereupon the GWR lived up to their old nickname of the Great Way Round! So instead of continuing down the Bristol Main Line, we went via Newbury, linking round just North of Westbury, then up through Bath Spar and Bristol Temple Meads - before heading back down towards Taunton In Devon...

And to cap it all, when I tried to excape the racket of a load of drunken girls singing their heads off, I found the next carriage was completely blocked by a bunch of drunken football louts standing in the ailse shouting above the din of their own booring bloody football songs.

    The journey from hell!!

There were seats available but I chose to stand in the lobby (or whatever you call it?!) by the doors at the end of the train carriage, from WSM to Highbridge...

I couldn't take any more of it.

    Tagalog version...

Lalo kapag weekend. Diverted ang mga train. Mabagal.

  5. I wish I knew what year Norm Darwish made this photograph. I tried to contact him on his website but, no response back. I can find information on a lot of his work, just not this series. I guess it might have came from his flowers theme. It is so beautiful, it is so mind boggling that he does this flawless of work with color pencils :)

Bits and Pieces are what almost all things that we use are made of. From slippers, cars, airplanes, flower pots, spoons, slippers, needles, rubber as well as plastic mats to bottled drinks. Once these things are broken or getting old, these are forgotten, treated as waste, dirt and shoved right into the bins. Sometimes left in the streets where it would be considered as pollutants in any form. Good for those who are making a living as street cleaners as well as scrappers as they could make money out of these - Bits & Pieces.

While a lot of people consider Bits and Pieces as waste that they chaotically throw these anywhere, they don

  6. I envision that my external blog, combined with this blog, will afford me a greater opportunity to bridge a connection between my art website, this site, and my external blog. My external blog is a great platform for me to entertain and hopefully inform viewers by discussing and sharing my critiques and reviews of artwork, books (including articles/editorials) music, movies (including TV shows, social and political issues; basically any interesting content I can get my hands on. But ultimately I hope that interested parties that do view my original art website will find my work as aesthetically appealing as I do. http://rlouism.blogspot.com/

My grandparents have come under some major financial stress and they're house is in jeopardy. They had these paintings they have collected over the years and are trying to find out if they have any real significance and might have something that could help them financially. There is one that appears to be one of the "Highwaymen" from Florida in the 50's and 60's that I have had someone on the Highwaymen website verify that it is Livingston Roberts' work, but he never replied back to me to give me a title of the painting or any other information. Any help anyone can offer would mean a great deal to me and my family. All the pictures in the link above have all the information I have under them. I think most of these were purchased in Florida if the helps any.

    Thanks in advance,

    Kevin

I was looking for some kind of art blog sight to use that wasnt all mainstream so a bit more freedom of expression instead of having to listen to people actually know critzing me and telling me how ridiculous my thoughts are, hopefully this will work out but i dunno

i guess ill upload something later but for now im just trying to get the feel of this website and ramble a bit, although this website seems rather under used...:DDD Well i dont know what to say but i feel like writing, so yeah and as far as art goes im still crazy amateur but i dont care at this moment.

ive been so strange lately, not that i was ever normal, but im just done worrying about things, but it feels like im drowning in apathy and i hate saying how apathetic i am cause it sounds like so such a poser emo kid thing. Just with all the drama that im always surrounded in and i dont see any point in wasting my time caring, although i always feel like im wasting my time but thats not the point. i dont know, some people express their frustration/depression/ectera with talking crap about people and i just write about irrelevant things and paint/draw. But i generally feel ashamed of things i make since im well aware they arent good enough but i have to do something to maintain sanity in way other than alcohol

My mom and her boyfriend are fighting once again so im at my brothers grandpa like 30minutes from 'my' house and my mom was yelling at me to hurry up so i didnt get like any of my stuff so ima go shopping or something so i actually have something to wear, and i also forgot my sketch pad so im going to just doodle on computer paper. well i dunno im sure this website is more art gallery-ish then blog-age but i dunno, ill upload some stuff from my deviantart later so ill feel like less of a failure, lol

well whatever talk if you want

This is where I live exactly...My link

  8. 04-07-2012, Today I took a step in my plan to make a difference in the art world. Over the years I have worked in sales and marketing but my heart has always belong to the world of art. As a high school art student, I fell in love with copper etching. oils and pastels were ok but I could not get enough of the copper etching portion of the class. Once the class ended and I could not find a way to continue on my own, I experienced withdrawals. My desire to be an artist begin to burn out and finally I turned to sports to file the void. Over the years I would dabble in oil painting projects but I could not rekindle that fire that once burned within me. It was not until I met an unknown artist by the name of Jay Burley that I begin to understand my place in the Art World. That brings me to The Curator's Shadow, the Art Book. I begin trying to help Jay get his work seen by the world. We put his work on Tee Shirts and other clothing, even coffee cups. His work was all over the web, Youtube, Myspace even Facebook. Working with Jay reminded me of all the talented people I have come across with limited or no way to get their work seen by the public in a way that would do justice to their talent. The Art Book was the answer, a way to record a piece of history that would last and be shared for years to come. The Curator's Shadow will become a National Treasure, showcasing the work of artist the future may someday label great masters. To give our new website a look see click here

    Hi

My name is Jon Kubic and im a musician. Im looking for artists/film makers/photographers to contribute towards a project I am running.

Please take time to visit my website.... www.kubic.co.uk

Im looking for artists who think that they could contribute towards interpreting my music in either film, art or photography. Please note that at present, this would be unpaid (im not getting paid yet for it !!!), but would just be being done for the love of the art (which is what im doing it for with this particular project)

In a sense, im looking for someone to characterise my music and my band through their artwork. At present, there is only one song on the site, however, we have another 3 in production at the moment.

Please feel free to drop me a line if you are interested. Contact details on the website.

    Many thanks

    Jon

  10. An artist, inspired to paint the Gothic and Florentine architecture outdoors in Prague, must choose between an almost limitless range of subtle colors to use. In this medieval city there are cooler hued buildings of stone with grayed lavenders, greens and blue browns. There are also warmer toned surfaces with ochre, yellows and oranges. Add to this an eclectic, no-rules range of color on many of the building's newly renovated surfaces, and you have a genuine, full palate field day! An artist needs to decide how to achieve color harmony in the shapes and nuances depicting these historic treasures if their next best painting is going to be a success.

Rod Cameron reveals the secrets behind his choices of color in the painting titled, "St. Michelos Cathedral - Prague". Notice how he breaks down color into groups of "warm" and "cool".

He tells students, "I saw the two towers in the sun as "warmer" mixtures: the thinner, taller steeple a mixture of cerulean blue and burnt sienna with white, and the main domed building a mixture of yellow ochre and burnt sienna with white."

Using these warm hues as a reference point, Cameron uses a split complementary, which indicated blues, lavenders with touches of viridian green for the shadows and in the street buildings on either side. These cooler shadow colors frame the scene and provide exact compliments to the warm Hues of the Cathedral in the sunlight.

To further enhance the warm atmosphere in the sunny part of this painting, the artist mixed cerulean blue into the sky. Cerulean blue, being the "warmer blue", supported the warm, sunny part of the composition and harmonized with the cerulean mixtures in the architecture.

To see how easy it is to find and select complementary, split complementary and other color combinations, Rod Cameron suggests to artists to make or get a hold of a simple color wheel, found at any art supplier, and just dial up a color. In the case of Rod Cameron's painting of St. Michelos in Prague, he pointed to orange on the color wheel as his initial reference point, for the sunny surfaces of the Cathedral. The compliment of orange is ultramarine blue, but Cameron chooses the split complimentary; the colors that you find on either side of blue. The color wheel beautifully illustrates, lavenders on one side, and blues with a touch of viridian green on the other side; the split complimentary colors that Rod Cameron uses in the painting.

Touches of your warm mixtures in your cool colors, and visa versa, will slightly gray things down, and go further to create great color harmony in your painting. The use of split complementary colors adds a greater range of color and more variety in your painting without sacrificing harmony.

Color wheels are inexpensive and give the artist a better understanding of the color families and how they relate to each other. Even after you've memorized all the color combinations, it still fun to refer to now and then, plus, the wheel just looks cool hanging on the wall. Every studio should have one!

This painting was in my Grandfathers estate. It is signed by T. Fulop. Behind the name is either a "54" of "Sr".

    It's 35" wide and 24" tall. Does anyone know of this artist??blogentry-2098-026263800 1283653179_thumblogentry-2098-040531200 1283653382_thumblogentry-2098-040531200 1283653382_thum

  11. I have been reading where Google has released information that it may start putting it's first page ranking up for bids on search. To me this would hurt the small business people that do not have the budgets of the large corporations.

The example that I saw used one dollar per click as an example which could be bid as high as five dollars per click. Man...I can just see Google sending me a bill saying today 5000 people clicked on my sight and bought nothing...that will be $5000 please. No way! From the statistics I have seen that 70% of potential customers will not click on adds that come up under search anyway.

I suppose this is a way to hide paid advertising from customers by charging for search ranking. Plus they do not guarantee first page ranking anyway-even with the paid search plan.

For those of us trying to maintain a sight I suppose we could try for page 2 or 3.

I could better understand the system if it was a commission on sales results of some sorts.

My humble opinion is that Google in it's largeness is becoming very greedy. I understand that they must make a profit but it should not come at the expense of putting the small business out-of-business.

Google should remember that Yahoo and Bing are waiting in the background for the opportunity to become # 1.
