Early morning fishing village by the sea

I don't know if Mike ever gave this painting a title. The image title is just one that I made up - and the scene could just as easily have been a late afternoon one - just before sunset!

This would have been a photo that I took of the painting some time ago at an art gallery in Mabini Street, Ermita, Manila. (I see that the EXIF info. for the photo shows that it was taken on the 31st of May, 2006...)

A Mike Herrera painting depicting a cock-fight (or "sabong") scene in the Philippines. "Sabong" being the cockfight, the guys with their prize cockerels are. of course the "sabongeros!"

A mixed media painting by Mike Herrera, depicting an underwater scene with a fish and some rocks in stark relief.

I am not sure what media Mike used to get the rocks and the fish in relief but I do remember that this was quite a striking painting.

If I am not mistaken, this would have been seen in Rufee Art Gallery in Mabini Street, Ermita, Manila sometime around the year 2005?

I am not sure what sort of technique Mike used to get the (cave wall rocks, or whatever they are supposed to be) into such stark relief?
