Oil on canvas board. Roadside view. More vacation photos
  2. The Sun casts its golden light on the trees in the Hogmoor Inclosure. The colour contrasts of the green trees, blue sky and brown tree are beautiful!

  3. The brief rainstorm has passed over and the sun catches the Scots Pine trees in the Hogmoor Inclosure. The blue/grey sky, the golden trees, the green ferns and the brown soil give a beautiful contrast of colours.

  4. The Sun is setting in the West, and the golden rays are picking up the beautiful yellow flowers from the Gorse and Broom in the Hogmoor Inclosure! Meanwhile high above the Scots Pines, the Moon looks down over the beautiful scene.

  5. These tracks at Ascot Station in Berkshire used to connect through to the line from Guildford, but when the Station track layout was re-modelled in the 1960s, they became sidings for the berthing of trains on race days at the nearby Royal Ascot Racecourse. The sidings in turn fell out of use in the mid 1980s and nature is well and truly taking over some 35 x years later.

  7. This thing had been sitting around in my living room, half finished for about nine months: Mindanao palayan - almost ready for planting rice I finally got around to finishing it a few days ago. 'Feels good to be back in the swing... I was almost starting to get really cheesed-off with the thing, as I frantically tried to get it finished the other day. But I managed to resist the temptation of over-doing it and ending-up with a complete mess. It's only a bit of crappy amateur art. And having taken 9 months over the thing, it is hard to say that I really enjoyed doing it. (Well, I always enjoy the actual time spent working on a painting but I couldn't get in the mood for art for months on end when I was supposed to be working on this one.) But, I have to say, I am pretty well satisfied with this painting now that it is done... I quite like the richness of the colors - especially the greens... And the half-finished work almost became a fixture in my living room for such a long time; I might even frame this and put it up on my wall!
