  1. A "Sentinel" looks to the rapidly darkening sky as night draws in.

  2. The Hogmoor Inclosure in Hampshire in England is "Guarded" by a number of "Sentinels" (wooden statues) by day and night. Contemplating the coming night is this one!

  3. One of the wooden carved "sentinels" on guard at twilight in the Hogmoor Inclosure, Whitehill in Hampshire, Southern England

  4. From the album: Bohemia

Buh žehná svému světu a hrozí lidem a jejich zlu a mamonu ("God blesses his world and threatens people and their evil and mammon" - or something like that! According to Google Translate, anyway...) Autoprtret J.V. Myslbeka jako Boha Kostel sv Ludmily – Praha Vinohrady
  5. From the album: The statues: Hogmoor Inclosure photos

A lonely, naked man standing on his perch in one of the few permanent ponds in the Hogmoor Inclosure. Most of the other ones - (the ponds, that is!) - seem to dry out when we get an extended dry spell; (which is not really surprising since the underlying soil is just about all sand and sandstone...) The wooden statues were, apparently, created by sculptor David Lloyd. More on this, here: https://www.princephilippark.co.uk/wb-story/public-art/
  6. From the album: The statues: Hogmoor Inclosure photos

As a friendly passer-by said to me whilst I was sitting on that bench enjoying the early summer's evening sunshine: "You've got the perfect spot there Mate!" And very nice it was too. The photo was taken in the vicinity of the radio mast at the Southern end of the Hogmoor Inclosure. More information on the Hogmoor Inclosure can be found here: https://www.princephilippark.co.uk/community/spaces/hogmoor-inclosure/
  7. From the album: The statues: Hogmoor Inclosure photos

Well... What can I say?!! This fellow's backside kind of stares you in the face when you sit on the "perfect spot" bench in the Hogmoor Inclosure, Whitehill, Hampshire in the South of England. This particular wooden statue - or sculpture, if you prefer - was photographed looking towards a dried-up pond in the vicinity of the radio mast at the Southern end of the Inclosure. More information on the Hogmoor Inclosure can be found here: https://www.princephilippark.co.uk/community/spaces/hogmoor-inclosure/
