  4. The opposite side of the Basingstoke Rainbow, over the railway tracks. Is the crock of gold here at RAF Odiham appx 5 x miles away from where the rainbow appears to end?

    © Tim Penycate

  5. A heavy shower has passed over Basingstoke and the setting Sun is now pitching in from the West producing this beautiful bright rainbow. Is the crock of gold inside the building? Sadly not!

  6. Once the tallest building in the world, the spire of Salisbury Cathedral rises above the trees on a beautiful Spring afternoon in the city.

  7. RHS Wisley is a huge garden in Surrey just a mile South of the London Orbital Motorway, the M25. A freezing fog has sat over the garden for several days and produces this beautiful view.

  8. The freezing fog has not lifted for a couple of days, but the Sun tries hard to dispel it over RHS Wisley Gardens in Surrey.

  9. Petworth Station in West Sussex last saw a train in 1966, but today is a wonderful Bed & Breakfast Hotel. Some of the accommodation is based in 4 x Beautifully restored Pullman Coaches built circa 1914. This view shows 4 of the Coaches (a fifth one is under restoration) on a Sunny October morning.

  10. The early morning sunshine and perfect blue sky illuminates HMS Warrior and the town of Gosport on the opposite side of Portsmouth Harbour. This view is from the area known as “The Hard” which is just adjacent to Portsmouth’s “Historic Dockyard.”

  11. A view along Ryde Pier to the town of Ryde on the Isle of Wight. To the South storm clouds are rapidly gathering and the sky is starting to look menacing.

  12. Sitting on the railings alongside “The Hard” in Portsmouth Harbour, a Black Headed Gull (probably with its Winter plumage) looks alert. HMS Warrior provides the backdrop.

    Floodlights and Sunshine

Aldershot record a magnificent 5-1 victory over FC Halifax in the English Conference National. The game was on “Live” TV with BT Sport, and this probably explains whilst in bright Sunlight, the floodlights are on!

    Aldershot v Solihull Moors

The 2022-2023 Season has started on a hot Saturday afternoon in Aldershot. A very dismal afternoon sees Aldershot in red lose 4-1. The Season finishes in April 2023, so things hopefully will get better!

  15. Despite nature appearing to be rapidly taking over, Farnham Railway Station is far from abandoned and a Class 450 Desiro has just arrived on a service from Guildford! Not abandoned, but just waiting for the weed killing train to pass through!

  16. The brief rainstorm has passed over and the sun catches the Scots Pine trees in the Hogmoor Inclosure. The blue/grey sky, the golden trees, the green ferns and the brown soil give a beautiful contrast of colours.

  17. The Sun is setting in the West, and the golden rays are picking up the beautiful yellow flowers from the Gorse and Broom in the Hogmoor Inclosure! Meanwhile high above the Scots Pines, the Moon looks down over the beautiful scene.

  18. This Magpie arrived on a litter bin in the evening sunshine in the Hogmoor Inclosure only to find its partner had just raided it! The partner Magpie does looked a bit miffed!

  19. It’s a beautiful Spring Sunday with blue skies in the city of Gloucester and the bells are ringing out! There is hope for this World.

    Spray!

Quite strong winds are making the passage into the Ryde terminal for the Hovercraft seen in another picture awkward! There is a lot of spray as it tries to come onshore!

  21. An early evening Hovertravel Hovercraft approaches the Ryde terminal on the short crossing from Portsmouth in the distance.
