From one of my own photos of some rice fields in Mindanao, taken just before the planting season.
Started some time in 2009 (September, I think?)
Finished in June 2010!!
This painting could have been done in a couple of days. (I made a rough outline in pastel and went over this with a water wash in order to tone the background - so I had to wait a day for that to dry... Otherwise I could have finished this in a few hours...)
It took me about 9 months!!! I dunno... I just couldn't seem to find the time for painting. And when I did have the time, I couldn't get in the mood.
Anyway, I am glad it is finished now and I have already started the next one. (My next painting is erotic art and it doesn't meet the Guidelines for this site. So you will not see it here, even if I ever do get around to finishing the thing!!)
