  1. Haslemere is an intermediate Station on the rail route from London Waterloo to Portsmouth. As a part of the re-signalling, Haslemere Signalbox closed in late October 2025 with signalling now transferred to Basingstoke. The Signalbox at Haslemere had served for 130 x years and is seen here on the last full day of operation.

  3. The Romney Hythe & Dymchurch Railway runs along the Kent Coast from Hythe to Dungeness (almost 15 x miles). It is the world’s smallest public railway! This is locomotive Number 10 called Doctor Syn which has been in service since 1931. It is seen here at the end of the working day about to go “On Shed” for the night.

  4. A South Western Railway Class 158 has arrived at Basingstoke from Exeter St David’s alongside a Cross Country Class 221 from Bournemouth on its way to Manchester Piccadilly.

  5. Seen from Farnham the combination of Moonlight, lamplight and a guest appearance of the planet Venus at about 45 x Degrees to the right of the Moon. Picture taken on a long exposure which sometimes causes light interference. Either that or the two green ghouls in the trees to the right of the Moon!
