Mindanao Sunset over Palayan

A beautiful sunset, reflected in the water of a palyan, (rice paddy,) near to the Madilosa residence in Davao del Sur. The palayan is just about ready to be planted with young palay (rice seedlings;) which will be taken from a nursery bed.

One of the farm-workers suggested this photo to me but I told him it was already too dark. Anyway, just to prove to him that my camera was not good enough for such a shot, I gave it a go... After a few attempts, I tried putting the ASA setting up to 400 and using a tree-trunk as a tripod. This was the final result. Not bad, eh? Just goes to show, you can learn about photography from a poor, provincial farm-worker who has probably never even held a camera in his life!!
