Well... Something in the news today actually made me smile! A Financial Times reporter, in an article she wrote about the difficulties she was having when trying to use cash, after having lost her wallet... It seems that people in the UK these days won't touch cash with a barge pole. (In case it is contaminated...??!???)

Whilst waiting for her replacement credit card to arrive, she had to ask her Dad for some help... (to make a payment for her, using his own credit card...)

Hehe...!! Well, that's what Dad's are for!!!

Oh... You've got to love the Philippines! As long as you can keep away from whore bars, you can still get drunk on a pocket-full of change!

How do you burn spaghetti? Well I just managed it! Oh... And the red onions definitely make you cry more than the white ones. But the taste is about the same, once everything has been frazzled...

Well... 'Just finished a two month job working on a project off the coast of Somalia. This is usually a time for getting all excited about going home but, now, who knows when I will make it back there?

I'm still at stage one: shock/denial - and the tragedy is only just beginning...

Time for some prayers. And a little bit less of the old blind panic. And a lot more international cooperation, if you please?

Just left Labuan, (in one of the Malaysian states in Borneo) - heading for Taiwan to load cable for some deep water comunications cable repairs off the NorthEast coast of Japan. We'll be working just outside the 80Km exclusion zone around the Fukushima power plant... I can't loose any more hair - so I am rather hoping that I will sprout a fluorescent green, yellow and pink 'Mohican' instead!

If I'm not freezing my arse-off in the UK, I'm working myself to death on an old rust bucket in South East Asia. There must be a better way of making a living...

Cold, windy and far from home... But at least I haven't started glowing in the dark, yet!

On a slow boat to the Philippines.. At least, we are heading in the right direction!

I like my solo flight... Just me, my dogs and a nice quiet life without any hassles from a nagging woman!!
