These tracks at Ascot Station in Berkshire used to connect through to the line from Guildford, but when the Station track layout was re-modelled in the 1960s, they became sidings for the berthing of trains on race days at the nearby Royal Ascot Racecourse. The sidings in turn fell out of use in the mid 1980s and nature is well and truly taking over some 35 x years later.

Nature retaking from human construction is always an oddly beautiful and fancinating subject.

It is. This  track was abandoned in about 1986, so this is 35 x years of growth. There was another track in the foreground, but this was was lifted sometime between 1986 and about 1994.
