I don't know the name of the dog, but I call him "Scruffy!" Being taken for walks was quite a noval experience for him and, as you can see, he was really enjoying himself here! Carabao and farm worker plantsahin ('ironing,' or smoothing out the soil) in a palayan (rice field,) near to the Madilosa residence in Davao del Sur. "Plantsahin" is the final operation that uses a carabao (water buffalo) in the preparation of the palayan before transplanting the young rice seedlings. One of the farm-workers suggested this photo to me but I told him it was already too dark. Anyway, just to prove to him that my camera was not good enough for such a shot, I gave it a go... After a few attempts, I tried putting the ASA setting up to 400 and using a tree-trunk as a tripod. This was the final result. Not bad, eh? Just goes to show, you can learn about photography from a poor, provincial farm-worker who has probably never even held a camera in his life!!
