The hottest day on record in Manila in April 2024 sees a huge thunderstorm building to the North of the city. Unfortunately it came to nothing and the city went on sweltering. This view from Bonifacio Garden City appears to show a flying saucer, but it is likely a reflection of a light from within the building where the picture was taken.

Shortly after take-off from NAIA on an evening flight to Bangkok. I was caught by surprise with this beautiful clear air view of Manila... Normally, it is either too cloudy or two hazy to be worth even trying to get a decent aerial photo of Manila... So, yes, a big surprise and a mad rush to get my cellphone out!! -

The aircraft is to the North of Manila and, having made an almost 180 degree turn, it is heading West towards Bangkok. The two Runways at NAIA can be seen between Manila Bay, to the right of the photograph and Luguna Bay on the left. -
