    Rain has Passed.

Several heavy rain showers have affected North Hampshire and Whitehill. The rain has passed, but the clouds that brought some of them are now backlit by the setting Sun. This picture is taken from the Bordon and Whitehill Relief Road which follows the course of the old Railway that used to pass through the area.

  5. A distant and very isolated electrical storm produces lightning which creates a silhouette of a palm tree.

  7. As with the previous picture, this is another view of Cebu City by night shortly after Sunset. Both pictures are taken from the top floor of the Raddison Blu Hotel in the City!

  8. Cebu City is regarded as the second city of the Philippines after Manila. Still frenetic, but not quite like Manila and a great place to visit!

  10. Deltics can also be smelly. But they are foregiven, due to the wonderful sound that they make - especially when they are pulling away, from a standing start!!
  11. And a stunning number of views - in rather a short space of time!!
  12. I was wondering why I was feeling like a second coffee - when I realized I hadn't even had the first one!

    It's an age thing...

  13. Much of the PNR system (although not all) has closed down for 5 x years for major re-building and refurbishment. Tutoban Station is the main rail terminal in Manila and this is a view of the approach to the Station and the Depot outside.

This is the “W Building” in Bonafacio Global City with its iconic “Staircase” of lights!

  15. The hottest day ever in Manila in April 2024 draws to a close but leaves a stunning sunset across Bonafacio Global City.

    Cumulus Nimbus

The hottest day on record in Manila in April 2024 sees a huge thunderstorm building to the North of the city. Unfortunately it came to nothing and the city went on sweltering. This view from Bonifacio Garden City appears to show a flying saucer, but it is likely a reflection of a light from within the building where the picture was taken.
