  3. There are two parts to the shell of a turtle: the upper portion is called the "carapace" and the bottom half is called the "plastron." Both shells are actually made of many fused bones. The carapace is the fusion of about 50 bones - the ribs and vertebrae.

Title says it all, bit of a pain to paint, yellow is rough! Model turned out looking pretty good though. This is a conversion using a Assault Sargent's chainsword arm.

The first member of a warband for Mordheim, always wanted to make one so with some new kits from Frostgrave and Perry Miniatures, I feel it gives the rough rag tag feel where as prior I was issuing empire soldiers and sigmarites which didn’t quite feel right.

In my head cannon, he got found again, was given a Primaris Make-over and is now back in the battle! Needless to say this was a kitbash/conversion of a Primaris Lieutenant with bits from like, 3 other kits? However, I felt it necessary to have a Primaris version of my regular marine of one of the Crimson Fists greatest heros!

Bit of a conversion/kit-bash on this one to make the Medic look a little more mobile.

When supressive fire and much dakka is the order of the day, you get the Devastators in. I'm thinking of making another one of these guys at some point, with a much more interesting pose.

Not sure what the idea was of whoever built this [Bought second hand and re painted] double Chain Fist and then a Chain Bayonet on the Storm Bolter?

Recon and long range specialist, equipped with a modified Stalker pattern Phobos Bolter with built in elongated barrel and silencer [As silent as I guess you can make such a weapon] and custom rounds for all situations. I originally wanted this character to be draped in a big camo cloak however doing so would have obscured a lot of the details I put into the model, so I settled for having it draped and slightly catching the wind. This cloak is actually made of tissue paper, as I wanted something thin but that would give the texture if rough fabric. Inspiration for this came from: http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/ to… check it out! It's a rad tutorial and props to the gent who shared this. Lemme know what you think.

For the longest time, I couldn't decide what weapon to give this guy, swapping between flamer, plasma, heavy bolter... even considered a rocket launcher but thought it a bit too much. HOWEVER, i felt that plasma gave the group it's biting edge, good for both armoured infantry and vehicles, it's a good multi-use weapon. This guy turned out really well, quite pleased all things considered. Please consider giving the image a click to reduce it's size for a bit better quality))

Leader of a small 3 astartes infiltration team with mortal support. my first delve into "True Scale" conversions, made from Terminator legs, Primaris bodies, Mk 3 arms and power packs with plenty of greenstuff. All done for an interesting project a friend has going over on Instagram. There's a whole back story as to why marines still using Heresy era gear are now in the 41st millennium and possible Loyal Alpha Legion!? Ask for details if interested.
