and collecting the garbage of humanity. Notice the bags for recycling... These guys perform the duties that you and I should be doing. Separating our waste... And what are you doing for the planet? For your children? For your grand children? And for all of the inhabitants of this Earth? Not only homo-sapiens... Just one of the billions of species on this planet. For the wolves? The most noble of all the species of animals... Not man! Even cockroaches and rats have a right to be here, you know? Polar bears... Not only you. You are so so selfish. Did you know that??1 point -
From the album: I wish you were beer!
A bottle of Badgers Tangle Foot and an old English telephone box, (now housing the till,) at the Robin Hood pub in Sukhumvit, Bangkok. The Robin Hood is close to the corner of Soi 35 and it is directly opposite Benjasiri Park. They have quite a reasonable selection of beers - including, of course, the good old standard: Guinness! I try to avoid the very touristy British and Irish-type pubs when I am in Bangkok. But the commonly available Thai beers are dreadful and Hey! Any port in a storm, as they say!!1 point -

A golden harvest in Sjaeland! I love the farmland scenery in Sjealand, Denmark in the summeryime. Probably because wild flowers on the periferies of the fields are left for all to enjoy - not just spayed to death. There is also quiet a lot of fallow land around. This makes the countryside in this part of Denmark a very pleasant place to be... in the summertime, at least!!1 point -
From the album: Denmark
'Fancy a walk down the lane? A beautiful, quiet and tranquil lane on a sunny afternoon in Denmark. Just one of the many photos that I took on my regular 4 mile walks to King's Pub in Kalundborg, when I was staying at: Holmehuset Bed & Breakfast Kåstrup Holmevej 23, Illerup, Kalundborg, Denmark, 44001 point -

The best beer in Manila! Imported from Sweden. Imperial Stout. Very chocolatey. Almost like drinking a Mars Bar!! Available at Tap Station, Adriatico Street, (corner of Padre Faura,) Ermita, Manila.1 point -

From the album: The statues: Hogmoor Inclosure photos
A bit of exposed sandstone alongside one of the old Tank Driver training circuits in the Hogmoor Inclosure nature reserve. This used to be a busy military training ground but in recent years, the Army moved out and the area was turned into a public recreation space. The "nature" was always here - it's just a bit quieter these days without the Army tanks...1 point -

Well... What can I say?!! This fellow's backside kind of stares you in the face when you sit on the "perfect spot" bench in the Hogmoor Inclosure, Whitehill, Hampshire in the South of England. This particular wooden statue - or sculpture, if you prefer - was photographed looking towards a dried-up pond in the vicinity of the radio mast at the Southern end of the Inclosure. More information on the Hogmoor Inclosure can be found here: https://www.princephilippark.co.uk/community/spaces/hogmoor-inclosure/1 point -
From the album: Mike Herrera Paintings
A Mike Herrera painting of Filipino fishermen in a small fishing boat on a stormy sea at night, hauling in their net with a good catch of fish. From a painting seen in an Ermita, Manila art gallery some time in 20051 point -
From the album: Drawings and sketches
This was another practice sketch that I did from Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain, by Betty Edwards, back in 2005 when I was trying to get back into art after a 30-year break. This little exercise was based on copying a portrait of Gustave Corbet, and it introduced the use of charcoal with a little bit of shading here and there.1 point -

From the album: Night Photography and Lights Reflecting in Water
Pink Tropical Water Lilies (or "Lotus," if you prefer!) These beautiful lilies grow in a ditch beside the road in Soi Sukjai, between Soi 40 and Soi 42 off the Sukhumvit Road in Bangkok. Apparently, they were just thrown in there, years ago, by the owner of the house behind were they grow. Like most tropical water lilies, the flowers only open at night...1 point -

...or something like that!! Something or other whizzing past the window whilst traveling at high speed on the Shinkansen between Kokura and Hakata. Don't ask me what it was - I don't know!! Lot's of people getting off here and the Shinkansen trains run on time... To the second - unless there is an emergency! So you need to have all your stuff together and be ready, waiting by the doors to get off as soon as the train pulls into the station.1 point -

From the album: Welcome, to the Shinkansen!
The Shinkansen is Japan's high-speed rail network. The trains that run on the network, ("Bullet Trains") in the West, are smooth, slick, quiet - and very fast! They run in the region of 300km/h. Running from city center to city center all over Japan - (and without the need to check-in one hour before departure!) - they can make getting to where you actually need to be quicker than flying, if you are going anything less than from one end of the country to the other!1 point -
