I don't know if Mike ever gave this painting a title. The image title is just one that I made up - and the scene could just as easily have been a late afternoon one - just before sunset! This would have been a photo that I took of the painting some time ago at an art gallery in Mabini Street, Ermita, Manila. (I see that the EXIF info. for the photo shows that it was taken on the 31st of May, 2006...)

Pink Tropical Water Lilies (or "Lotus," if you prefer!) These beautiful lilies grow in a ditch beside the road in Soi Sukjai, between Soi 40 and Soi 42 off the Sukhumvit Road in Bangkok. Apparently, they were just thrown in there, years ago, by the owner of the house behind were they grow. Like most tropical water lilies, the flowers only open at night...

Jumong is just incredible! This shot of Jumong and Shoubi playing silly buggers, (as usual!) was taken just 18 hours after Jumong was stabbed in the kneck by a drug-crazed neighbor of mine. Not only is he already back to normal, eating like a horse, he's actually up and playing with Shoubi as if nothing had happened!

My mate, Tim Penycate's dog. Another RSPCA rescue dog. Not a pedigree but pretty well pure German Shepherd. (I'm not sure where the crooked tail comes from but it in no way alters the fact that Benj is one of the most handsome dogs that I have ever come across!) Here he is, full of energy and really enjoying a day out on M.o.D land at Woolmer Forest, Whitehill, Hampshire, in the South of England, UK
