  8. The Hanseatic Nature is a cruise ship operated by Hapag Lloyd. In this delightful shot, the Hanseatic Nature can be seen in the background with one of her tenders along side the quay ferrying passengers to and from the ship. This is Cowes on the Isle of Wight and the Hanseatic Nature will be on her way later to Guernsey.

    Lunar Eclipse.

A “Lunar Eclipse” occurs when the Earth passes directly in front of the Sun and the Moon. The shadow appears as a dark area on the bright lunar surface and is sometimes known as a “Blood Moon” given the orange/brown shadow. This shot taken on Bembridge Down on the Isle of Wight shows a clear crescent of the Moon and shadowed outline of the rest of it. This picture was taken approximately 80 x minutes after the Eclipse had started.
