Cable Retriever, working on a submarine telecoms cable repair near Nasugbu, in the province of Batangas, Philippines - April, 2008 Nice warm tropical weather, calm seas and a beautiful sunrise... If it was like this all the time, everyone would want a job working at sea!!

I'm not keen on skewed horizons and the tilt on the horizon in this certainly was not intentional. Anyway, I quite liked the picture, so I decided to post it anyway... Taken from aboard c.s. Cable Retriever, on passage to Batangas after repairing a submaine telecoms cable deep under the sea, somewhere near Taiwan. The mountains in the background are inshore from the coast of Zambales, Northern Luzon. At the time this photograph was taken, (April, 2008) the ship was somewhere in the vicinity of Cabangan and San Felipe, South of Iba in the province of Zambales. Somewhere amongst those lofty peaks are Mount Quimalogong and Mount Pundillo Ni Lima
