A few passengers are waiting for the train back to Ryde Pier Head in the cold evening. Shanklin is the end of the line for trains on Island Line, but the railway once carried on another 5 x miles or so to Ventnor.

"It's been a hell of a hike and it's hot, so hot. Between your ragged breathing and the rustle of foliage you catch the sound of rushing water and hope there may be a stream near by where you could take a well earned break. Stumbling through the teeming plant life, your breath issues in an owed gasp as you glance up at the rushing waterfall, droplets of water catching the almost angelic rays of sunlight that pierce the canopy and looking as if glittering gems... It's then you notice the large but clearly very femanine form of a Lizard as she sits perched atop a mossy rock at the base of the waterfall, dipping toe claws in the water as her deep, Morganite eyes study you from within the sockets of her skull headdress"
