This image of a beautiful semi-abstract painting by the late Filipino painter, Paco Gorospe, was sent to me by a member of the Dequito family - and it is reproduced here with their very kind permission. The painting depicts carabao, (water buffalo,) their herders and some rural folk going about their daily life on a farm in the Philippines. The following information was also supplied with the image: -

The signature, as it appears on Capt. Generoso Dequito's beautiful semi-abstract carabao painting by the late Paco Gorospe. This is an excellent and very clear specimen of Paco's signature and I thank the Dequito family for allowing me to reproduce it here. -

(Well, apart from a couple of errors - with the code for the Google search box and the users in chat figures - that I can't do much about...) Not just a pretty face, eh?!! -

Hi! Welcome back! 'Hope to see more of your art here soon... By the way... Just when I thought that I had got the forum skin problems sorted, I found that I could not post a comment here. I just switched skins from the IPS Beyond one and I am currently using "Clients Green..." Oh well. One day artfreaks.com will get famous and I'll be able to afford a whole team of software developers... Maybe?!! Well, we can all live in hope! For the mean-time, if any member finds that a certain feature is not working as it should, it is always worth trying a quick switch of skins. (When you are logged-in, there is a little drop-down menu at the bottom left-hand side of the main forum pages. Currently, you can choose from four different skins.)

...showing a bit of attitude! A very strong character, this one! Jelyn is also a very pretty girl - something that this portrait in no way gives her justice... Anyway, I quite liked the way that her hair came out, so this painting was not a complete disaster. Soft pastels on Canson colored pastel paper - 18" x 12" (46cm x 31cm) -
