These things run on time - to the second! And they do not stop for long at the stations. So you need to be quick, getting on and off! Especially getting off the train... You need to have all your stuff together and be lined-up at the door before the train gets to your station. -

The Shinkansen is Japan's high-speed rail network. The trains that run on the network, ("Bullet Trains") in the West, are smooth, slick, quiet - and very fast! They run in the region of 300km/h. Running from city center to city center all over Japan - (and without the need to check-in one hour before departure!) - they can make getting to where you actually need to be quicker than flying, if you are going anything less than from one end of the country to the other! -

To all members: Please could you ensure that you give titles - (or, at least, a description) - and preferably some keywords to your images when you upload them to the Gallery? Some members are very good at this - but others are quite content to just leave the image number assigned by their cellphone or camera, when uploading... It show's in the number of image views!
