It turns out the problems I was having with uploading images were related to the Internet Service Provider that I was using at the time - not the site. Anyway, I managed to improve a few things along the way, so you should find that your images upload a lot quicker now - ISP notwithstanding!!

Lot's of people getting off here and the Shinkansen trains run on time... To the second - unless there is an emergency! So you need to have all your stuff together and be ready, waiting by the doors to get off as soon as the train pulls into the station. -

...or something like that!! Something or other whizzing past the window whilst traveling at high speed on the Shinkansen between Kokura and Hakata. Don't ask me what it was - I don't know!! (We were going too fast!!! ...Bracing wires for the gantries that support the overhead power cables, at a guess!!) -

Just after landing on a Philippine Airlines flight from Bangkok and swinging around past the old Terminal 1 at Manila's Ninoy Aquino International Airport, on the way to Philippine Airlines Terminal 2. A Saudia aircraft and one belonging to Philippine Airlines can be seen silhouetted against a brilliant sunset. -

This beats flying any day! A lot more leg room - and a better sensation of speed. There's actually quite a lot of people in this carriage but the Japanese are not noted for being particularly tall - which is why you can only see half of them!! -
