  1. The brief rainstorm has passed over and the sun catches the Scots Pine trees in the Hogmoor Inclosure. The blue/grey sky, the golden trees, the green ferns and the brown soil give a beautiful contrast of colours.

  2. The late evening Sunshine in the Hogmoor Inclosure, shines through the leaves of a fledgling Oak tree surrounded by the blooming Heather.

  3. On a dull Summer day, with a stopping train bound for London Waterloo in the background, a Buddleia bush in full beautiful bloom adorns the now abandoned Alton Platform. Buddleia grows like crazy and has beautiful and fragrant flowers which attract bees and other insects. It is very common across the UK railway network!

  5. The Sun is setting in the West, and the golden rays are picking up the beautiful yellow flowers from the Gorse and Broom in the Hogmoor Inclosure! Meanwhile high above the Scots Pines, the Moon looks down over the beautiful scene.

  6. This Magpie arrived on a litter bin in the evening sunshine in the Hogmoor Inclosure only to find its partner had just raided it! The partner Magpie does looked a bit miffed!

  7. Platform 6/7 at Guildford has a single track running through it. Herb Robert is a beautiful fragrant native wild flower in England and is slowly growing itself around one of the rails and covering up the litter people throw on the track.

    1-0!

For those who follow Aldershot Town FC has not been a great season in the Conference National, but in this picture they go 1-0 up against Notts County (reputed to be the oldest surviving football club in the world) and go on to win 3-1!

  9. It’s a wet Sunday afternoon at Havenstreet on the Isle of Wight Steam Railway. Ivatt Tank 41313 waits to depart “Bunker first” to Smallbrook Junction in the early afternoon.

  10. The cows in the field next to Wooton Station on the Isle of Wight Steam Railway, show a complete lack of interest in the Shunting signal which allows the train engine to run round its train!

Quite strong winds are making the passage into the Ryde terminal for the Hovercraft seen in another picture awkward! There is a lot of spray as it tries to come onshore!

    The risks in Football

A horrendous injury to the Aldershot Town Goalkeeper has delayed the game v Eastleigh by some 25 x minutes. The player was taken to hospital and has made a full recovery. In a bizarre twist the substitute Goalkeeper was also stretchered off later in the game which saw Aldershot lose 2-0.

  17. After safely guarding the section of railway between Bagshot and Camberley (on the line from Ascot to Aldershot) for almost 50 x years, Signal F337 will be replaced in mid April 2022. F337 appeared in about 1974 when the then new Feltham Area Signalling Centre went fully live.

  19. A beautiful Spring afternoon at the Memorial Ground at Farnham with Farnham Town beating Frimley Green 2-1! The afternoon gets disrupted as a large Bumblebee buzzes into shot, obviously enjoying the sunshine (and perhaps the football too)!

    Diving Save!

A Combined Counties game between Farnham Town v Walton & Hersham FC at the Memorial Ground in Farnham under the floodlights. The Walton Goalkeeper makes a spectacular diving save to keep Farnham out with the game finishing 3-0 to the visitors.

  23. A rather bad tempered football match in the Sydenham's Wessex League at Love Lane, in Petersfield (little love shown!) see Petersfield Town draw 1-1 against Ash Utd. It's a cold March night under the floodlights! Petersfield are in red and are known as the "Rams."

    Mustangs v Oxford Blues

At the Bisley Arena in Surrey (near Brookwood) the Mustangs in black go down to a 9-0 defeat against the Oxford Blues. Inline Hockey is played at Bisley quite frequently on a Sunday, with several games being played between 09:00 and 16:00. A very fast game, like Ice Hockey, but played on Inline/Roller blades as opposed to ice skates!
